Options
Every pool deck coating we apply has one job before looks: keep wet feet from slipping. These are the three systems we use.

A cement-based coating sprayed on and troweled flat into a stone-like texture. Light colors stay cooler under bare feet.

A flake system finished with a UV-stable topcoat and grit for traction. A fit for covered lanais and pool surrounds.

A thin cement overlay that can be scored into tile or stone patterns, then sealed for sun and water.

Wet concrete, sunscreen and bare feet are a bad mix. A pool deck coating needs texture all the way to the coping, not just along the walkways.
We set the texture to how the deck is used. Kids running between the pool and the gate need more grip than a lounge corner under an umbrella, and steps and the area around the ladder get extra attention.
We also look at drainage. Water that sits in low spots grows algae and makes any surface slick, so low areas are fixed during the repair stage, before the coating goes on.

Coastal decks
A pool deck near the coast takes more abuse than almost any other concrete at the house:

Why us
What you get when we coat your pool deck:

How it works
Most of a pool deck job is repair and prep. Here is how it goes:
We check cracks, spalling, old coatings, drainage and the joint at the coping.
The deck is cleaned, and failing paint or coatings are removed.
Cracks are routed and filled, and spalled areas are rebuilt. Wide damage gets concrete resurfacing.
A primer and base coat go on over the repaired surface.
The knockdown texture is troweled, or flake and grit are broadcast.
A UV-stable sealer or topcoat goes on, and we tell you when the deck is ready for bare feet and furniture.

Questions
HomeGuide (2026) lists pool deck resurfacing at $3 to $12 per square foot nationally, about $1,500 to $10,800 for a typical deck. Repairs and the system you choose move the number most. These are market ranges, not a quote. We price your Myrtle Beach pool deck after a free on-site estimate.
Not when it is built for a pool. Smooth epoxy is slippery when wet, so on Myrtle Beach pool decks we add grit to the topcoat or use a textured knockdown finish. Steps and coping edges get extra attention.
Any surface in full Myrtle Beach sun gets warm. Light colors and textured cement-based finishes stay cooler than dark coatings or dark bare concrete, so we steer most open decks toward lighter tones.
Only if it is still well bonded, and that is rare on older decks. Peeling or chalky paint is removed so the new coating bonds to sound concrete. We check it during your Myrtle Beach estimate.
Most pool deck coatings need at least a day or two before bare feet and longer before heavy furniture, depending on the system and the weather. With Myrtle Beach summer heat and humidity, we set the dates with you, including around rental bookings.
